Everytime you retell a story it becomes a different one. The storyteller always chooses his words carefully, whom he is including into it and how it’s going to look into the eyes of the spectators.

 

The Great Gatsby, a Scott Fitzgerald story that takes places in 1922 during the roaring twenties, goes into the big screen for fourth time trough the eyes of Baz Luhrmann. And he has created a classic extravaganza!

 

Although it will hit theaters this week, they are already celebrating this enormous creation.

 

The cast, crew, family and some friends were at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Take a look of some of the greatness of The Great Gatsby.

CLEAN SWEEP: THE COOL CENTER-PARTED HAIR BACKSTAGE

On runways from Suno and Jason Wu to Narciso Rodriguez and The Row, backstage hairstylists traded casually side-swept hair for something more precise. A deep side part can be bourgeois, too ladylike. According to backstage stylists at shows like , Carolina Herrera, and Oscar de la Renta this week, a center parted hairdo keeps the focus on the clothes. Not a bad thing when you consider the season’s lush textured furs, slick leathers, and architectural silhouettes.
