The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are the best. I totally realize that’s a bit exagerate statement, but if you listen to their first single as a band in like, three or four long years, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

“Sacrilege” is their first single of Mosquito—out April 16—and it goes big as it damn well should, starting out with a churning build up of guitar rhythms and percussion, all punctuated by electric frontwoman Karen O’s characteristic howl. The funky chorus is the money, but stick around for the amazing gospel outro (Yes, as in, a 24-piece gospel choir) that takes us home to heaven. I mean…. And in case you need more reminders of why Karen O is a rock-star goddess among us mere mortals and why the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are heroes…
