FS: You began the brand after the birth of your first child when you realized the industry did not have any pieces that reflected your personal style. Did you always want to be a jewelry designer?
FS: You began the brand after the birth of your first child when you realized the industry did not have any pieces that reflected your personal style. Did you always want to be a jewelry designer?
JF: I actually wanted to be a fashion editor but ended up becoming a stylist after styling my first commercial back in the ‘90s.
FS: What plans do you have for your brand within the next 5 – 10 years?

JF: Freestanding stores and possibly a lifestyle store as well.
FS: Describe the typical Jennifer Fisher customer.
JF: It is anyone. Each piece we sell is completely different from one another. My brand is really about reflecting your own personal style. From delicate to heavy, it varies on the woman.
FS: You began your career as a wardrobe stylist. How is jewelry design and styling different? Any similarities?

JF: They are similar in that you need to be resourceful and creative but the jobs are completely different. I definitely prefer jewelry design!
FS: What are some of your current and constant inspirations?

JF: I am constantly inspired by vintage rock bands and industrial style; they are always reflected in the line.
FS: What’s your work process like once you have an idea to the time it is a finished product? Do you work on a fashion schedule?

JF: The turnaround from sketch to metal sample runs about two weeks. We work on our own schedule. I have only recently started to follow seasons.
FS: Is there one piece in your collection you think is timeless and works for every woman?
FS: Is there one piece in your collection you think is timeless and works for every woman?
JF: Any style of the dog tag charm. It was my first piece and the easiest to build around.





FS: How would you define your design aesthetic? What excites you about designs and innovations in jewelry right now?

JF: I am clean with an edge. I like to layer varied textures. As for right now, I am loving the acrylic trend.
FS: If you weren’t designing jewelry, what would you be doing?

JF: I would definitely own a store with a mix of luxury goods, home design items and accessories. I love stores, like Maxfield in Los Angeles, which mix fashion and lifestyle.

JF: Celine, Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney, Balmain, Rick Owens. For bags, Dax Gabler and Jerome Dryfuss.
